ISCI 360 students: Raiyana Alibhai, Jenna Ramji, and Gabriela Villamil won the UBC level Map the System competition They will be representing UBC at the National competition from May 10th-12th, with the chance of being able to continue on to Oxford's International competition. Congratulations Raiyana, Jenna and Gabriela and best of luck in May!

During reading break, our students embarked on a remarkable journey to the Big Island of Hawaii. With sustainability at the core of the curriculum, students examined the island's features from a systems perspective, synthesising different dimensions like social and economic factors to gain a more holistic understanding. The Canadian Journal of Mineralogy and Petrology (formerly The Canadian Mineralogist) is hiring an Editorial Assistant. 10 hours per week of work is expected. The schedule is flexible; the Editorial Assistant works remotely and communicates with the Managing Editor via e-mail and weekly virtual meetings.
